Though, the author does not indulge in gratuitous sadistic horror and heresy.
On the contrary, she treats these
issues in a complex, intelligent, beautiful, and 'humane' way. She seems to have great respect and
empathy for everyone in her novel. Her heresy invites the readers to reconsider established myths, to
denounce intolerance, prejudices and blind faith. No need to agree with her ideas, but the interest is to
be able to question themselves. |

I also avoided showing shocking
images from Yuki Kaori's work on this shrine (rare images containing violence signaled with clear warning prior to viewing).
And I ensured there were no plot spoilers, so that everyone can discover and enjoy her wonderful art. |
